INAIR Pod 3DoF Hover Mode: Fixing Screen Drift 2026

What Is the INAIR Pod 3DoF Hover Mode?
The INAIR Pod 3DoF (Three Degrees of Freedom) hover mode is a spatial computing feature that allows you to "pin" your virtual screens in mid-air. When you turn your head, the screens remain anchored in that specific physical location. If your screens are slowly moving or tilting—a phenomenon known as screen drift—you need to perform an IMU calibration or ensure that your specific AR glasses are fully supported by the INAIR Pod's Native 3DoF update, rather than relying on basic 0DoF screen mirroring.
Why Is My Screen Tilted or Drifting?
A common complaint in our support logs reads: "When I use the device in 3D mode, the screen continuously drifts to the left. Also, the left side of the screen looks longer than the right, making it look tilted."
This is incredibly disorienting and can cause nausea. It is caused by the internal gyroscope and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) in the glasses losing their center alignment.
How to Stabilize Your Screens
Looking for Stable 3DoF Out of the Box?
The INAIR Pod works with your existing glasses today, and calibration takes seconds once you know the steps. Prefer glasses and Pod tuned together from the start? The INAIR 2 Elite Suite is built for that consistency.
A screen that drifts is an easy fix, not a reason to give up on the setup. Discover more about what we're building.
