How to Fix the INAIR Pod Keyboard Overlay White Box 2026
- von INAIR Official
How Do I Remove the White Box Behind the Keyboard on the INAIR Pod?
The INAIR Pod keyboard overlay white box is a known UI rendering bug where a blank white window appears on the lower half of the screen when using browser apps like Firefox or Chrome. This white area is currently generated by the system to hide the original Android system keyboard background while displaying the virtual floating keyboard. Our R&D department is actively optimizing this in the upcoming software patch. In the meantime, switching your default input method to Gboard can help mitigate the visual obstruction.
The "Weird White Window" Bug Explained
Many users attempting to use their AR setup for productivity in 2026 have submitted this exact feedback: "Every time the keyboard pops up in Chrome, a weird white 'Virtual Keyboard' window covers half the screen. Even if I move the actual keyboard, the white box stays there, blocking what I'm typing!"
We hear you. This is highly disruptive to your workflow. The Cause: The INAIR OS is built on Android. When you tap a text field, the system calls the native Android keyboard. To provide a spatial, movable keyboard, our OS attempts to "mask" the native background. Unfortunately, in certain third-party apps, this mask renders as an opaque white box.
Temporary Workarounds & Official Patch
Our developers are actively rewriting the keyboard rendering logic to eliminate this white masking box entirely.
What you can do right now:
Want a Setup Built for Serious Typing?
The INAIR Touchboard bundled in the INAIR 2 Elite Suite sidesteps this bug entirely by giving you a physical keyboard from day one. Already have a Pod and just want the same fix? The INAIR Pod supports any Bluetooth keyboard as an immediate workaround.
A rendering quirk shouldn't get in the way of getting your work done, and that's exactly why we're prioritizing this fix. Discover more about what we're building.
