How to Enable INAIR Pod Netflix HD Playback (2026)

Does the INAIR Pod Support Netflix HD Playback?

Yes, the INAIR Pod now supports HD playback for major streaming services. Previously, many overseas users reported that the Netflix application on the INAIR Pod was restricted to Widevine L3 security levels, resulting in blurry, Standard Definition (SD / 360p-720p) video quality. Following extensive development, the major April 2026 firmware update completely resolves these HD playback restrictions, allowing users outside of China to test and enjoy Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max in stunning High Definition on their AR glasses.

The "Pixelated Video" Problem Explained

If you purchased an INAIR Pod to build a portable theater, you might have sent a message like this to our support team: "All my apps work great, but Netflix looks pixelated and rough compared to other platforms. What's going on?"

This was a genuine issue. Content providers like Netflix use a digital rights management system called Widevine. If a device isn't fully certified for Widevine L1 in specific regions, the app artificially throttles the video quality down to SD to prevent piracy.

The April Update: Unlocking HD Streaming

We listened to the community. As announced in our "Major Streaming Improvements" preview, resolving this HD restriction was our top priority.

The Solution: You do not need to buy new hardware.

  1. Connect your INAIR Pod to Wi-Fi.
  2. Go to Settings and download the latest April firmware update.
  3. Once updated, the system will apply the new DRM patch. We are officially opening the HD versions of streaming applications for overseas user testing. Your movies will now match the crisp, high-resolution capabilities of your micro-OLED AR glasses.

Match Your Streaming to Your Display

The INAIR Pod is the engine behind this fix, working with any compatible glasses you already own. Starting from scratch instead? The INAIR 2 Elite Suite pairs it with our own micro-OLED glasses for a display worth streaming HD to.

A crisp micro-OLED display deserves crisp video to match, and now it finally gets it. Discover more about what we're building.
