Mastering INAIR Pod Offline Video Playback and Storage
How do I manage storage for INAIR Pod offline video playback?
To maximize INAIR Pod offline video playback, you can use the built-in storage to save media from streaming apps (like Netflix downloads) or transfer your own local video files (MP4, MKV) via a direct USB-C connection from your PC. For the best local playback experience, we recommend using the native SPACE Video app. If you are preparing for a long flight, ensure your Pod's firmware is updated so that offline DRM licenses do not expire while you are disconnected from Wi-Fi.
Transferring Your Own Movie Library
While downloading episodes directly within the Netflix or Disney+ app is easy, many power users prefer to load their own high-bitrate movies onto the device.
"I have a library of 3D movies on my hard drive. Can I just drag and drop them onto the Pod?"
Yes. Connect the INAIR Pod to your PC or Mac using a data-capable USB-C cable. Your computer will recognize the Pod as an external Android storage device. Simply drag and drop your movie files into the "Movies" folder on the Pod.
Best Practices for Offline AR Viewing
-
Use SPACE Video: For local files, our native SPACE Video player is highly optimized for AR. It seamlessly handles aspect ratios and allows you to easily toggle the 2D-to-3D conversion feature if you want to add depth to standard videos.
-
Clear the Cache: High-definition video files are large. If you run out of space, go to the INAIR OS Settings > Storage, and clear the cache of apps you rarely use, or delete old downloaded episodes from your streaming apps to free up gigabytes of room.
